This project is the result of a partnership between Delfina Foundation, MUSAC, Casa Árabe and is being produced by Arte Global.

The Middle East and North Africa’s rich cultural mosaic of civilizations and religions, political conflicts, identity, and overall, history continues to influence many contemporary artists as well as their artistic productions. The development and democratization of new technologies has allowed this generation of artists to present new discourses among social taboos and political changes.
This program, curated by Elisa Hernando and Ala Younis, gazed on two main subjects:  women and identity, and the relationship between tradition and modernity. It will show the rich and complex Maghreb and Middle East´s scene through the works of Ruanne Abou-Rahme; Basel Abbas; Manal Al Dowayan; Ahmed Badry; Atef Berredjem; Mahmoud Bakhshi; Waheeda Malullah; Amina Menia; Asli Sungu and Fadi Yazigi.
